PW8T03 - 3rd Avenue Extension; Washington to West Street.

This project extends 3rd Avenue from Washington Street to Hester Street and provides additional diagonal parking. This project was approved for construction under the 1/2 cent Transportation Sales Tax Fund.

Qualification Statements were received from seven engineering firms. June 20, 2007

STPW12 - W University Avenue, Monroe to Knoblock

This project will correct drainage problems associated with the street and reconstruct the roadway surface. Left turn lanes will be added to improve traffic flow and enhance safety and sidewalks will be brought into compliance with ADA. Streetscape amenities, such as decorative streetlights and traffic signals, stamped pavement at crosswalks and new sidewalks will be considered to enhance the aesthetics of the street.

OSU has requested to participate in the design and construction. Additional scope/fee items are currently being coordinated with OSU and the Design Consultant, Benham Companies.

The City of Stillwater is asking all fraternities and sororities to participate in a voluntary grease inspections. The GNA has met with Doug Gable (Dgable@stillwater.org) with the Environmental Programs division and discussed the inspections. While nothing is pending now, they are trying to be proactive in addressing EPA regulations. Please contact Doug to set up your inspection if you have not already.

If you do not already, there are services that will provide you with a receptacle and pick up your grease, sometimes with a small payment to you. If you are not doing this now, we would suggest that you begin so immediately.
